Oread
Oread by @Manuela (Manuela Hoflehner)

Last one in my sprite series. Took me long enough, but it was fun. Especially this one. Oreads seem to be quite neglected, I've never seen one painted before. Everybody paints Dryads. And if you don't know (like me, before I found an online mythology lexicon), Oreads are for mountains and grottoes what Dryads are for oak trees.

And I wanted to thank you all. I've just been here for a really short time and I feel so welcome. Thanks for all your nice comments. You people rock!

Really lovely colors here, and I especially love her face. The eyes are really luminous and nice.

In the future...I think a purpley shadow on her skin might've worked better (made it look less greyed-out; but then, she is a mountain spirit)...and also, mebbe a tad more texture in the hair would help everything blend together--her face and eyes are so sharp, that the painterly hair looks almost too undetailed.

Thanks for sharing your talent!

Sure you will. It just takes some practice and dedication. And come on, you're not that bad either. It would take me a billion years to draw wolves like you do freehand =)

Wow, this is absolutely stunnng. I personally do like the peach colour but I especially love that amazing design on her face.

Critique wise I will have to agree with Athena that the hair should be sharper, although right now it does have a nice smooth look like the rest of the pic. I think there should be a bit more shading around the mouth and the placement of her features looks a bit off.

Woo keep up the beautiful work ;)

Beautiful lighting, a definite lightsource is shown. The eyes are beautiful, breathtaking. A lot of expression and life are in them. Great detail on the hair. Overall a beautiful piece. :)
