Scragg
Scragg by @stacgarr (Stacey Garrison)

This is just a random gargoyle that I drew and painted with acrylics. I'm trying to get out of the whole 'single character, no background' thing, but this was the product of getting up too early boredom, and I like it. Artwork © Copyright 2002 Stacey Garrison

Well, this is more active... but its not really action. His hands are just on top of his head. Action is when they are in the middle of an action, and it must be evident that they are doing so for it to be an action pose. He could be in the process of grabbing his head here, but you can't tell... if you leave thoughts of sequence and movement out, it looks like a pose still. Try making a character punching, or running, or shooting a gun or swinging a sword. But you ARE getting closer. Keep trying, you'll get it! :-) Don't hesitate to e-mail or IM me personally for some one-on-one help.
