Meet the IZ Fanfic Authors! by @kat23a (kat23b (secret identity))
Here's the early version of the pic! First, I gotta give a few explanations and apologies. Some people didn't give me a clear description of their face shape, hairstyle, clothes, or pose, so I just let my creativity run wild. ^^ Don't worry, I tried to make you look good! And II, I'm sorry, I TRIED to draw your Gaz patch there, but I never once was able to make it look ANYTHING like a Gaz patch, so I gave you a sucker. ^o^ This whole thing will look better when its colored. Okay, across the front, from left to right: KidK is winking behind Flipside (and Dagonet). They're sitting next to Apricot the Ewok. She's supposed to be Apricot the Gerbil, but I'm no good at drawing gerbils, much less Jhonenfied gerbils. Standing behind her is Zimmy Kid, in the trenchcoat. Sitting on the chair is yours truly, and on my right, with the cool hair (which was one of my creative splurges) is Soleia nova. Kneeling next to her, with the sucker and my foot on her coat (sorry!), is Irken Insane, and on II's right is JhonenObsessor (also with cool hair ^^*). Back row, left to right: At the far right, with the notebook, is CrimsonObsession. Next to her, with the Tallest plushies, is (who else?) Invader Bast. The deranged one on the floating ball could be none other than the illustrious CryingChild, and the girl below her with the 'there she goes again' look on her face is Ztarlight. At the far left Maniacal Dragon (aka Lynne) is giving bunny ears to everyone's favorite pyromaniac, Aliet Faslami.

Hee hee, I'll just post what I wrote in the guild, in case you see this first. ^_^ I LOVE the pic! I even figured out which one was me before I 'membered you had a description on da bottom. XD Yeah anywayz... I like the way you drew CC. She looks like she's about to jump out of the computer screen and eat me. o.O And II is so CUTE! Zimmy Kid looks FREEEEKISHLY like my sister (before she gets into the Pepsi). And the way you drew Bast (I knew which one SHE was) kinda makes HER look like a Tallest. I bet she'd like that... JhonenObsessor... never pictured you in a skirt... nice top, though... KidK's holding a sign that suits her QUITE well. I'd comment on the other peeps, but I dun know them too well.

0_0... Holy chicken-fried eels!! This is great! Even as I type, I am printing it out to hand to everyone I know, and probably several I don't know. (And I'll tell them "That one's ME! I have been immortalized! Praise me! PRAISE ME!!")You rock, Kat!! You kick an extremely large quantity of booty!! I seriously like Soleia Nova's hair. ...To an unhealthy degree... And the expressions on Ztar, II and CrimsonObsession's faces. And I LOVE the way I look!! I love it SO SO MUCH!! I look all craaaazy!! AAAAHHHHHHHHH that's SO COOL! XD I can just imagine the insanity that would break out two seconds after this semi-placid group shot.. hehe, my most favorite part is KidK and her sign ^.^ It's perfect!

Wow. How nice. Heartwarming! Whimsical, to say the least! It's too bad I only found out about this whole thing when it was already done. I read your ff.net thingy, you see. And, so, anyway, you bring me another thing to cry about at night. All those people...so happy...smiling...another group I'm not a part of. oh, so sad. my life is a dark pit of darkness...HA! I got you! I got you bad! Well anyway, I just wanted to say i LOVE your artwork. It's a teeny weeny itsy bitsy bit like mine, only a whole lot better. And by whole lot I mean WHOLE lot. While I think the "Apricot the Ewok" description is cute, I do think you did a great job! Truthfully, gerbils HAVE appeared in a couple of Jhonen's comics, but they usually end up drawn like little blobs with feet, eyes, and teeth. X3 You made me look cute! ..And I thank you for putting me in the pic.
By-the-by, I saw your update on ff.net-- were you aware there's a running gag wherein every time I make an appearance in a fannon-based work, I end up getting squashed or eaten or otherwise pulverized in some bizarre way? [laughs] I'm not mad-- quite the contrary, I think it's hilarious. I seem to have a universally set counter to my ever surviving long enough in a fan-work to become a Mary Sue, intentionally or not.
But before I yammer any further, to sum up: the pic looks great. And life just happens-- it may not always go according to schedule, but don't ever beat yourself up because of this fact. [grin]
