CLAMP inspired. by @Whisper (Anna Finch)
He threw her roughly against the wall, ignoring the crack as a bone in her left arm shattered. Her breif cry of pain echoed around the abandoned village. He stood with his back to her, contemplating the brilliance of the sunrise as the sky faded from deep purples to pink to bright blue. Then he turned and looked at her. She was slumped against the wall, holding her injured arm and glaring at him. He wasn't at all surprised that she was still standing, he knew how stubourn she was.
"It's amasing...how many times...I fall for the guy...that wants me dead," she said quietely, gritting her teeth in pain.
He just stood for a moment, watching her as she rather deffiantly tossed the long hair out of her face. Almost wihout warning he stalked up to her and slammed a fist on the wall above her head. She barely batted an eye at this and looked up at him.
"Thats just your bad luck..." he whispered, leaning down slightly.
She closed her eyes as he leant closer, brushing his lips againt her temple, her cheek, her lips. She grabbed his arm with her good hand and pushed herself back against the wall. He looked at her and smilled slightly, then leaned in untill his breath stirred the hair around her ear, and whisper almost sadly,
"Know this Seska, I love you and I allways will...nothing can change that..."
Then he wrenched his arm free of her grip and turned away. Seska watched his back until he was gone, lost in the woodland around the village, then she slid down the wall onto her knees. A single tear hit the dry earth near her left knee, raising a small cloud of dust.
"I love you too Gabriel...I love you too..."
Ok, it's TO becuase of the story. Also, I think the blokes face is AWFUL, if I'd done it in pencil rather than biro, i'd have rubbed his face out and done it again oo;
Wow - I loved reading that, and it had a great illustration to go with it! Two thumbs up. :) Very good!
