Ignoring Death by @deaddays (John Rios)

A woman was recently raped and beaten to death in her apartment, in my home town. She screamed and screamed, surrounded by neighboring apartments, and no one did anything. At all. Something similar to this happened some time ago when a woman was raped and beaten to death in the streets of NY in front of 38 witnesses that ignored the whole thing and did nothing. The point is that this is sick. Everyone's been taugh to "mind their own business" and have become so scared to stand up and do anything. This kind of stuff IS your business. It's EVERYONES business. It takes courage, but when lives are at risk, we have to help, even if it's just picking up a phone and dialing 3 numbers. Artwork © Copyright 2003 John Rios
