Biography

Hi everyone! My name is John and this is my gallery. You may either be thrilled or dissapointed to learn that my gallery is slightly different from what appears to be many, many galleries on Side 7. Here are a few facts about my gallery:
1. You won't find any "furry" art on this site. There are a few, but they are purely coincidental (except for the entire "Side 7 Comic" somewhere in my gallery). I draw humans and do comics. That is my shtick, baby. I don't have anything against those who do furries, but they are most definately not my thing.
2. There is little or no teen angst in this gallery either. I'm past that phase in my life and now focus on humor and cartoons. Thus, there are no blood drenched characters here and if there are, It's me either trying to be funny or artistic (good luck Johnny!).
Still there? Cool! Now, if you can bear to look past that stuff (not many can, you know), I think you'll have a pretty good time here. I'm 21 years old and go to Fresno State University where I draw editorial cartoons and a comic strip called "Dead Days" for the school newspaper. I love cartoons (The Simpsons/Futurama, etc.), Comics (Marvel, Jhonen Vasquez [who doesn't], Frank Miller stuff, Garth Ennis, Ninja Turtles [the old Eastman and Laird issues], Lone Wolf and Cub, Fred the Clown, Dirge), Movies (anything Tarantino, Kevin Smith, Coen Bros, Wes Anderson, David Fincher, Kubrick, Scorsese, David Lynch, Star Wars, etc.), and Music (The Pixies, Modest Mouse, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Flaming Lips, The Smiths, David Bowie, Weezer, Frank Black, Green Day, Sunny Day Real Estate, etc.), and the sort.
I have a beautiful Girlfriend named Shellie (who you'll see alot in the gallery) who is, without a doubt, the greatest individual I've ever met in this world. Luck me.
I'm currently training the child prodegy named Jessica Torrez, who's gallery I suggest you check out. Go ahead, offer some constructive critisizm! Help her GROW! She may be the smartest person I know, and one hell of a good friend.
Um, that's about all that pertains to my gallery. Man, if you're still reading this, you deserve a prize. Ok, you're prize is a secret about me that no one else knows! Ready?
