Ride of the Valkyrie
Ride of the Valkyrie by @linddavi (Lindsey Davis)

Probably one of my best CGs to date... I'm extremely proud of the way Hrim Faxi came out... I usually have tremendous problems with horses. The whole Valkyrie thing comes from winter being associated with death... and... too much Wagner ~_~;; Artwork © Copyright 2002 Lindsey Davis

This is a most excellent picture. There's good solid forms, nice light and shadow stuff, i like the way the sword and armor glint in the sun without drawing too much attention to themselves. Most especially, i like the composition. Doing the background the way you did makes the negative space more interesting and helps define a focal point and all that good design stuff.

Hey man.... happy (belated) birthday. Actually... I used the multiply layer method for this one. (bet you didn't see that one coming, huh?) So ha. Did the faking painter thing again too... but it's not as prevalent on this one, except for the horse. The effects I learned from a tutorial... I'll hook you up with the URL when you're online if you want. Then again... you'll probably learn enough stuff college that you'll soon kick my ass. Besides, I didn't get computer graphics 'till second semester. And get this... I got Belliotti again. Gotta gear up for another year of "it's too cartoony!" and ... you know... getting my face chewed off repeatedly. Such is life.
