A sweet and sour sauce of Italian origin.
To my knowledge, I've never even had it.
But aaaah.
On pasta dishes? On fish? Other meats?
What a concept.
Seemingly of a vinegar base, sweetened with sugar... Is anyone here puttin this on their sketties?
Wouldjyee pour it over a nice battered flake and dip yee chips in it perhaps?
What are people doin out there?
I'd try it. I had no doubt in my mind that some more spiritually unhinged individuals are inclined to combine this sauce with the consumption of squid or octopus... Suffice to say I would not personally break bread with these people.
But someone is.
