Hola mina-san! ^^ Hey everyone, thanks for taking the time to view my profile ^^ As you know, it's me Kaliko aka Lovely Videl, and I'm glad you'd like to know more about me! ^^ Well, let's see, what's there to say? Hmm... as everyone knows, I love anime, particularly animes that involve a strong sense of realism and logic, but lighthearted comedies are fine by me too ^^ I do aspire to be a "Director of Animation" when I'm older, hopefully working for a large studio such as Disney or Dreamworks. I do not plan to work in Japan exactly, but I would love to bring many brilliant animating techniques from anime to North American animation. I also would hope to create graphic and literary novels and work various positions in animation such as like the great Hayao Miyazaki ^^
For fanart, I like to specialize in working in a large assortment of mediums and styles. I used to restrict myself to only pencil crayons earlier before, but now I feel content with exploring every new medium I can ^^ My specialty involves creating artwork in gradated style, which isn't the usual cel-shading of anime, but more of a painterly style. Occassionally I will do cel-style since it is quicker and more authentic to the anime feel. However, I love to do fine art (painting etc) and apply that in anime fanart, so often gradated style is used. Currently, I'm really enjoying doing this in computer, since there's less mess and unique results, however being restricted to the computer is a tough limitation ^^;;
I also sell my fanart at Anime North which takes place in Toronto, Ontario, in case anyone plans to attend ^^
Asides from fanart, I also enjoy writing fanfictions and anime poetry. I also maintain my website, www.kaliko.cjb.net, on an occasional basis (fanart gets me dreadfully lazy XD). I like singing and discussions, and some of my favorite subjects are science, religion and art ^^

If you'd like to do a request, art trade or collaboration with me, I'd be delighted!! Of course, make sure to check whether I'm accepting them or not at the current moment before asking ^^ If all is a go, then here are my few guidelines:

-No hentai!!! The reasons should be obvious: a.) My mother would KILL me b.) I'm too young to do such a thing! c.) I LOATHE hentai and d.) even if I did make a hentai, I'd bet it'd look weird. LOL.
-No shonen ai/shoujo ai - I don't think I'm ready to follow this concept just yet. No offense meant to anybody, but that's my choice ^^;;
-Please keep "dark" themes to a minimum... meaning please do not request for pictures with high violence, gore, sexual or other explicit contents.
-Original characters are acceptable, though existing anime characters are more preferred. But as long as I have enough reference to draw an original character of yours I'm happy to do it ^^
-I may need you to provide reference if I'm not familiar with the characters ^^
-Requests/Swaps will be completed as soon as I can. Please not that if I am backtracked, I will take longer. How long it will take depends on how many other requests/swaps I have to do as listed below.
-For collaborations, you must be willing to keep in touch with me constantly via email or messenger.
-You gotta review the artwork I make for you when I post it... That's that :-)
