Biography
Hallo! Thanks for dropping by! Please, take a cookie. I made them myself...no, really, they're good...fine, if you don't believe me...
Hmm, what to say about me... Well, I'm 26, and my current day-job is working out pretty well - I'm a Project Coordinator for a fire protection company in Boise (which was NOT in my 10 year plan, but seems to be going pretty well). I currently reside with my menagerie in Boise, which is bigger than most people think, but still only boasts one decent art supply store (thank everything holy for on-line art supply stores!). I'm originally from just north of Seattle, and I miss (surprisingly) the rain. The menagerie consists of my dog (Kaia, a 70 pound ball of black, fluffy, Chow hair), cat (Cloud, who doesn't actually know she's a cat, so don't tell her!), Indonesian Box Turtle (Sweetie, and no I didn't name her, but it fits), goldfish (Spot-a rescue from my brother's lizard's dinner plate and Toby-a Black Moore who thinks he's a balerina) and the goldfishes' pets, the 2 Dwarf Aquarium Frogs (Tweedle and Dee) - oh, and I can't forget Barry (he's the squirrell that lives in the tree in my yard, though he comes inside every chance he gets - even if it means running down a delivery guy, or hanging upside down from the gutter in front of the living room window until I bribe him with peanuts to get him to stop teasing the cat!). We currently reside in an two-bedroom (the second bedroom is my studio), brick duplex whose walls are covered in unfinished artwork and houseplants. Ah, home sweet home!
I've been drawing and writing, and really any form of creative expression, for as long as I can remember. The muse is VERY insistent, and doesn't so much visit as camp out in my house, which would explain the ridiculous lack of sleep. I draw almost everything, and DEFINITELY accept commissions (anything to help pay for my art supplies...), but I don't do freebies unless I know you, and even then you really have to be blessed. I work mainly in pastel, pencil, and charcoal (much easier to get out of cat fur than paints!), but I still break out the acrylics, oils, and digital on occassion.
So, take a look around, and let me know what you think!
