Kanti-sama by @Pop_a_doc (Matt Thompsonn)

Your going to hate me for this, but its another FLCL sketch (another of Kanti to) BUT, I think this is one of my best!! ^__^ (well, at least I think so...) I'll lay off the FLCL pictures now...unless you do like em ;p One quick question though, anybody know how Kanti's name is actualy spelled? Is it Kanti or Kanchi, or Canti?

My best advice to any artist--draw what you want because you want to draw it, not because it gathers you more compliments than another style. So if you like FLCL, keep drawing FLCL. Don't worry about what other people think--as long as you're happy, that's great.

Personally I think this is great--confusing composition, since it's hard to tell where the guy in the back fits in, but the sketch lines are very neat and everything seems well proportioned. I really love the details on the folds and the way the edge of the cape is tattered. To be honest, I have never seen FLCL. One of these days I guess I'll have to find a way to, ne? It looks really interesting!

In Japanese, there is no 'ti' sound, it's 'chi.' Pronounced about the same though, so 'chi' is used for 'ti' words in katakana. So technically, his name would be spelled 'Kanchi' but 'Kanti' really works just as well. It really doesn't matter.

Yeah, I understand...I used to do alot actualy, I wouldn't draw what I wanted cuz I was always concerned with what others thought, Im not as self concious as I was any more though (in art at least). I was half joking here ;P but I still do that sometimes. but, Thankyou for the support and advice ^^ On to the pic, Is it really confusing? Hmmm, any suggestions on how to fix it? Maybe if I finish the Kanchi in the backround? I was trying to make a montage of different Kanchi poses, but never finished the rest. You have definately gotta see FLCL its the reason I got into anime (well, became obsessed with it. DBZ introduced me to it) I think its the best ive seen. Though, you have to appreciate insanity ^^ and dont mind the confusion, then you'll find it absolutely hilarious! Thanks for the help with the name too! Im not well versed in the Japanese language! Thanks again! ^~

to fix? Well, I think that it would be more obvious that it was a montage if it was colored. Or if you added another pose of him in the right corner, maybe. :) Keep it up!

Thank you ^_^, I have gotten a little better, I guess :) You really liked my Tupac picture?! Awesome! I didn’t think anybody liked that one! Mos Def, yup, I know im, I don’t mind at all, I’d love to draw a picture of him for you, it probably won’t be very good tho, and it may take awhile (I’m pretty busy right now, I have finals all next week, and I started working for my school news paper, -drawing pictures for them!- but Christmas break starts soon, I think I could do it then) ya think I you could maybe draw some thing for me sometime? I love you’re drawings!

XD oh, and maybe draw him in a hat? like the godfather gangster type, like the one he wore in alicia key's new video! i hope i'm not asking too much.. he just looks so HOT in it...

I've been trying to draw Specter.exe, but cant get him right. Oh, or maybe you could draw Excel, or llapalooza (hm, i think thats spelled right) from Excel Saga? whatever you prefer, or if u want ta draw something else, thats cool, I lkove youre drawing either way. I'll try my best to capture his "sexy" cheek bones and mouth, ane I'll try my best on the hat too. I hope it'll come out good.
