Guya and 9/11
Guya and 9/11 by @PsychoGirl (Lisa Williams)

I did this not to long after the year 'anniversery' of 9/11... I was very upset because of all the militarism and such... I recieved a lot of BAD feedback from people I know in RL because I believe that the wars Bush is starting is wrong and I feel that terrorism doesn't stop terrorism... and some people actually told me I had no respect for those who were killed in 9/11. I hope this drawing proves to show just how much I respect and ache for the lives lost. They were killed for unjust reasons.... I was sent an e-mail that said "NEVER FORGET 9/11! NEVER FORGET THE HATE!" ...So I drew here a picture of Guya, curled up under an american flag doing what I wish I could do... cry. She's crying because she feels alone, as though she was the only person who realized that the "hate" they want us to hang on to is one of the reasons September 11th happened in the first place... She's crying because she knows that hatrid poisens our hearts and blinds our prospectives. If anything, we shpuld remember the lives lost... and stop the hate. Just because they did it to us, it still gives us no right to go over and do it to them... As a good friend of mine once taught me, "An eye for an eye makes everybody blind."
