Youthful Splendor
Youthful Splendor by @megamagn (Megan Magnus)

This is probably one of my most popular pieces overall, once again of Garrod from Gundam X, and was my first finished work of 2001. And as of my adding this, this was also my last finished CG piece, as I fried my touchpad a few months after this and am mostly inept with CG'ing with the regular mouse I must use now. :P

Anyway, I really like this. It's mostly cel style but with a little bit of dodging and burning here and there for a slight 3-D effect, and the style I drew Garrod in looks so close to the original character design (right down to the colors being picked from scans of my cels) that you'd almost swear this was an official picture even though there is no such official picture of him like this. The background is just a stock photo reversed and slightly blurred.

I also have a hand-colored version of this drawing using the original lineart this came from, but I'll add that at another time.

Positively stunning. I love your choice of color and the way you did the shading. My only suggestion is that you might want to add a little shading around the nose region because it looks kind of flat in comparision to the rest of the image. Still a very gorgeous image.
