Doctor Zachary
Doctor Zachary by @zonefox (Rich Morgan)

A character from the classic UK Sonic Comic - my favourite childhood read for many years during my videogame addiction. :)

Doctor Zachary was discovered by Knuckles on the floating island. Being the only other echidna that he had ever met, Knuckles placed a trust in Zachary that would prove to be a terrible mistake on his part. The old echidna had more sinister motives than Knuckles could ever have thought, and through Knuckles' misplaced trust, a chain of destructive events left the Floating Island powerless and on a collision course with Mobius. Needless to say, Zachary's plans were thwarted by his young adversary, a final confrontation resulting in him falling hundreds of feet from the island to Mobius below.

Zachary was later discovered by Robotnik's Troopers and presented to the dictator, who used badnik technology to repair Zachary's potentially fatal wounds. Since then, Zachary has been intensely loyal to Robotnik, becoming an incredibly valuable asset to the tyrant, and another dangerous figure for freedom fighters everywhere to face. FLEETWAY-NESS! I always thought Zachary was an intriging character,(they never told us his backstory) and I never did find out what happened to him either....
