Little Prayer-Casual Meeting Shopping District by @XxTheCreativeKitsunexX (XxTheCreativeKitsunexX)

Anime Inspired track

Always pushing forwards and trying new things this Orchestral Contemporary Jazz track was inspired by a story I thought up of a Japanese high school student too shy to tell the pretty girl in his music class how much he likes her, ends up bumping into her in a local grocery store in the shopping district of Shinjuku while shopping for his favorite tea. It is an awkwards meeting between the two as the young girl also has feelings for the shy young man but being she is very popular, never got the chance to talk to him without being swarmed by other male students.

The end result is a touching if not brief interaction between the two with the two of them grabbing the same tea package and quickly pulling away.

I wanted to convey the feelings of being unsure yet same time offering that age old boy meets girl aspect as heard in this style of music in many different anime tv shows throughout the late 90s. Contemporary Jazz is not an easy style to learn but sounds absolutely fantastic and should get more love then it actually gets. Though I do understand this music is not for everyone, for those who enjoy Jazz I hope you will like what you hear.

This is dead-on the vibe of an RPG Maker casual track. Given how everyone seems to paywall their mods for those programmes, you could make a tidy sum selling dedicated albums.

I couldn't help grinning at the writeup of a meet-cute between the cripplingly shy guy and the Popular Girl harbouring a secret crush: Do you have any idea how little that narrows it down? ;P

@Thorvald: I have played around with RPG maker and most times the base music is actually pretty good for selection wise, there is a lot of tape to have to overcome to license out my works on another platform and therefore because of legality and fees I don't bother to offer my services.  Music made and licensed out to a developer states they have free will to use material any way they see fit and I would not recieve much compensation for my works other then a small Royalty fee plus I would lose ownership of my music.  This is why people put things behind a paywall and why they charge for their works.  It is all about ownership of an artist's works and protection against those who would seek to use their works for monitary gain without doing any of the works themselves. AHEM AI Artworks

That aside I am very happy with the track as to be perfectly honest I had NO CLUE how I was going to pull off the music being I had no experience with contemporary jazz and all I had to go on was a vision in my head to start everything off.  I love slice of life anime's like My Love Story,  A Whisker Away and Chobits, each story had some kind of love story between two characters who start things off in a VERY unsual manner.  Particularily My Love Story which has a very large scary looking yakuza looking dude with a unabrow who saves a girl on a train from a potential stalker and when she eventually met him to thank him, he was hanging around the most popular guy in school, this led the big dude to think when she saw the two of them that she had fallen for his friend when in reality...she fell for him its a GREAT anime and I highly recommend it.

In another note I inadvertantly used the same notations for piano towards the end of the track for Daft Punk's One More Time without even realizing it till I had completely finished and recorded the track and posted it.  I laughed cause by that time when I was the end of the track I still had NO CLUE how to finish the track and was just winging it at that point.

@XxTheCreativeKitsunexX: I have a bad habit of subconsciously pulling names of historical people for characters, including Camus and Brusilov, and one reason I've never made a serious stab at musical composition is I never know if I'm just stitching up cues from existing songs into some Frankenstein patchwork, hip-hop sample style.
