This is absolutely beautiful. I love your style. The background is terrific, and I love the realisticness (if that's a word) of it all. The shading is great, as well. I honestly can't find any faults. Great job!
Terraces of the Southern Mists by @katduga (Kat Dugas)
This was a real test of the Wacom Tablet, and I must say, it exceeded my expecttions beautifully. I turned a sketch into a full-fledged color 'painting,' sans ink methods, to see if I could pull it off.
Most of the color variations in the fur and such was done with the Smudge tool sent to 'fingerpainting' mode, which is quickly becoming a very fun thing to do. Put on some music, play with the tabled - all very relaxing.
My main problem isn't trying to get something drawn, it's to decide what to draw! I had this guy colored in, but I had NO idea where to put him, afterwards! He had such an interesting pose (originally doodled to see how they'd look on all fours), and his expression became so focused on...something.
So here he is, on the Terraces of the Southern Mists. He lives in the southern Dye Kingdom region, a place that has a culture based on coloring - thus the dyed colors on his face - which from the lack thereof marks him as a mere 'commoner.' The richer you are, the more colorful you are as well, because rich people can afford more dye. There's more to it than that, but I'll explain some other time.
