What exactly did you do that the upload bounced?
In case of future emergency, page histories log discretely (no auto-refresh pressing 'Back'), and it's helped me recover drafts if I've accidentally navigated off the page.
I do know you should always upload files one at a time, and load the Upload Page fresh to be safe: I once tried queueing multiple tabs like I've done on dA, but the site only tracks the file you've uploaded last, so it posted the Tab 5 image on Tab 1 and the rest were blank.
