Just about the closest I can get to sum up Whakarewarewa in a single picture. Ya got yer steaming mud flats in the centre-left, a deceptively hot little pool in the middle, yer mineral-rich sinter cliff to the side, and just off-camera to the right, the second-largest geyser in the world.
