TERRAN REPUBLIC (Space Wings) - S-F107E Katana medium multi-role aerospace fighter
TERRAN REPUBLIC (Space Wings) - S-F107E Katana medium multi-role aerospace fighter by @mouse (Terri Sender)

Next up (and this is actually more of a completed piece of art for this aerospace fighter), we have the S-F107E Katana medium multi-role aerospace fighter. With a mix of light and heavy cannon mounts and a decent blend of missiles and a pretty decent acceleration rate, the Katana is basically the F-14 Tomcat of the Terran Republic, though the design is more based off of a combination of the F-15 Strike Eagle and a Dassault Rafale. The combination of cannon and missile hard-points keep the Katana effectively your all-purpose aerospace fighter that can handle just about any mission tossed its way. In addition to that, though, and to really fill out the entire "multi-purpose" aspect of the fighter, the missile hard-points can be swapped out for torpedo hard-points to give this craft anti-warship capabilities, because otherwise it would just spend forever trying to take even a frigate down with cannons and missiles, the former debatably even scratching the paint on the warship in question.

The S-F107E Katana medium multi-role aerospace fighter is a concept by Terry Sender.

As aircraft go, this is one of the most biologically-inspired designs I've seen this side of ornithopters. The slender cockpit and bulky fuselage have a real goose-like look. HAV - Nick 'Goose' Bradshaw
