Cockroach Electric Chair
Cockroach Electric Chair by @hammerspark (Gary Davis)

This is an old piece that I have never really shared much.It is a black walnut miniature chair with steel, brass, and nickel hardware. The glass is cut pyrex. The power is supplied by a 7,000 volt neon sign transformer. This thing really does throw and arc and is actually quite dangerous if one is not careful, ie. don't try this yourself ! ANYTHING organic that sits on this thing is fried and bursts into flame in about the first second.

What in the world possessed you to create such a thing? While the design is intriguing, I can't help but be somewhat disturbed by what it actually is. Only word I can think of for this is.......different!

Well, I guess the why would be that I had never heard of such a thing being made, and it fit the criteria for the project guidelines that week . I'll settle for different=^^=
