Shirogitsune Arisu
Shirogitsune Arisu by @Shazi (Sharon M)

Thanks to Abby, I got some really neat tips how to use layers on my adobe paintshop program to give my pictures a better finish. That, and she helped scan this in for me. What a team! :) I drew this as a character chart for my character Arisu Shirogitsune, and as part of a fan fiction-comic I'm working on based on Usagi Yojimbo by Stan Sakai. Well I'm currently a fan of the series and it didn't surprise me when I suddenly came up with an idea to try out. Plus I've lately been trying to work out my own style by exploring other artists' styles and sequential art to see what I may come up with in my own art. Sakai's series kinda inspired me a lot. I like his style of drawing as well as the storytelling, and if you've read any of the books/comics you'd understand. I hope I can get the fan-comic done soon. I'm drowning in a pile of unfinished fics...Other than that, enjoy the pic. :) Artwork and character are both (c) to Sharon M. Matthews, (Shazi) May 2003. Drawing style (c) to Stan Sakai.

Ah! These look great so far, I'm glad I was helpful! I'm not usually. :-) (btw, spotted the thumbnail immediately and remembered the pic, hehhe!)

WOW! Those expressions are totally perfect! Good luck on your fancomic. I really think fancomics are like the best ways to get started on making your very own original mangas someday. If you're that good at expressions and conveying emotion I bet your fancomic is gonna be totally awesome. So good luck!
