Lazul from Abigail Ryder's Nemesis Fleet comic by @Shazi (Sharon M)
Whilst at Abby's house one night we got on to a discussion of her characters from her comic series and then she mentioned about how some people had already drawn some of her characters. One character in particular she wanted to see drawn again was the gentle, feeble yet-dangerously powerful Lazul. So I nicked one of her pens and began doodling him away. For a while I tried to think of a pose that would be typical of him, then I thought of his aspirations as a budding priest and considering his nature I drew him in the position of the universally-known 'bookworm'. Complete with teeny spectacles teetering over his nose. Why he's reading practical voodoo being a budding egyptian priest? I don't know, but if you can catch the uncanny likeness in the doll which represents another of her NF characters you may see the hidden message.. ;) Heheh ain't I evil? Man, this post wasn't meant to be long. But this pic took a while to do over my studies. I could rant, but I won't. And thanks to Abby's layers tutorial the process of making this picture was a lot more easier to make it look clean. This is for you anyway Abby! :) The full coloured version.
