Dream Tracks 2024-Mega Man The Motion Picture-Opening Theme by @XxTheCreativeKitsunexX (XxTheCreativeKitsunexX)

The Blue Bomber has been a favorite of a lot of gamers and as I am one who specializes in bringing to life these classic games as movie sounding cinematic experiences, I thought I would surprise everyone with this this track as my ode to Mega Man fans and the series as a whole. Taking cues from the original Mega Man games and also from the Mega Man X series I wove the two together to create this track. I myself am not a huge fan of the series as I suck at the games yes you heard that correctly but I know the games have a die hard fan base and the blue bomber is an iconic if not legendary video game character.

Dreamtracks- Refers to a series of music in which a what if scenario of what if I was the composer for the next video game or movie of a particular franchise, how would I make it sound and how close would keep to the original source material. This allows me to flex my creative muscles and imagination as well as show my skills as music composer to bring to life some of the most iconic movies and or video games to a new audience. Dreamtracks is a culmination of years of listening to music and video games to nail down a distinct set of sounds or themes that are not only familiar but will make the audience feel like its the next iteration of their favorite franchises or movies. Special attention is always paid to make sure the tracks have a semblance or sound that adheres to the original source material in some way without being an exact replica. It is not my intention to make a track into something someone has done many times before me but to create something new while remaining true to the original material its based off of.

Music is ©2024 J.Delorey Productions Sword Dancer Studio Canada LTD Mega Man and Image is © and ™ Capcom This is a Fan Made Track and is not official cannon to the Mega Man video game series This track is Wholly an original creation of the Composer and is not Licensed, Sponsored or Endorsed by Capcom Japan or America All Rights Reserved.

The closest I came to actually playing a Mega Man game was a Downfall Parody-inspired spoof and... it may have accidentally scared me off the OG. XD

I've always loved the music though, so you taking on an original score I will certainly appreciate. B^D

@Thorvald: Just bear in mind this is not from any particular game but its made to represent the styles of each game from the original Mega Man games to Mega Man X.

@XxTheCreativeKitsunexX: Aye, while I don't follow dedicated compositional circles, it's very rare I've found someone like you that doesn't just remix but actually synthesizes new works. Again, the fact you can do this through pure intuition continues to amaze. There was a comment on a video scrutinizing Western music theory (v. the rest of the world) by someone that was approached to make "Iranian-style" music—now, he had no familiarity with Iranian style, and a Turkish friend said "Don't even try": every single village has a signature technique, so there's basically no way to model it accurately without apprenticing in the traditions.

You might just be the person who could manage it... Llama-Emoji-12 (Left and Right) (V1)

@Thorvald: I didn't want to do what everyone else was doing, the thought of remixing a track didn't feel natural to me as I wanted to be able to create my own thing. One of the main things I wanted to do though was to keep the spirit of the music from its source material alive and well, so I spent many hours listening and picking up on key elements of the music that would best work in creating a track. Years of watching movies and playing video games also aided my studies as I didn't just go into a theater to WATCH a movie but to study its music. The same thing with a video game as I am always paying special attention to the music and able to know what sounds help define the sound in the music that stands out the most.

For instance with MegaMan I owned Mega Man 2 on NES and I remembered the beat in the password screen really standing out and how the music was very fast and matched the level it was in. Or how a movie like the terminator had strong slow and threatening synths to indicate something dangerous and mechanical was present. I listen by ear and from years of doing this I am able to listen to something and pick out its core elements and either replicate or build on what I just heard.

@XxTheCreativeKitsunexX: Film and TV soundtracks don't get nearly the recognition they deserve—not just the John Williamses and Howard Shores, but the diegetic background tracks that set the mood of the scene and have to twist and turn to fit the action. One thing that always stood out to me listening to the music on its own is how a single piece can be a tonal roller coaster in a way chamber compositions could never get away with. The whole, as they say, is greater than its parts.

@Thorvald: While John Williams is the exception to the rule, if a composer does not sing or has vocals that are tied to him or her then music that is considered background noise to most people will not stand out as a famous you-tube rapper or singer will. Considering most music written by supposed singers is actually written by a shadow composer who most times goes unmentioned, instrumental music does not have the grab that other music does as its considered to be like classic music, while it has its fans that are hardcore the consensus is that it does not fit mainstream radio or concert halls. There ARE some music composers and music that people will go see in a concert, mostly video game related music and a few tv shows here and there. For the most part instrumental compositions or Orchestrated pieces take up a lot of time to listen to and even more so to understand what the composer was going for. A lot of people don't want to spend the extra time to respond to that kind of music when a meaty beat or a rapper throwin down on the mike is more appealing cause its more involving to them and they can sing along. Star Wars is literally the only Orchestrated score people know off by heart along with the Super Mario Brothers World 1 theme but those are rare few tracks who actually become mainstream. There are probably a lot more others out there who will add to my two examples but yeah. Most people that includes this site won't even read past the first few lines I wrote if it isn't engaging to them. Just the way people are but it does not mean everyone is "different strokes for different folks"

@XxTheCreativeKitsunexX: Now that you mention it, The Shadows are literally the only band I can think of from the 60s pop scene that had a high profile doing only instrumentals. Without launching into a whole diatribe on the current state of radio, there's been a definite shift in the industry toward mass-marketing the audio version of fast food, and tonal complexity has been bulldozed as a result. Why shell out for an orchestra when you can just run a stock drum loop? Llama Emoji-20 (Grumpy) (V1)

@Thorvald: *Precisely, it takes no time to listen to a manufactured track cause they go through them like a theatre goes through popcorn in a 4 hour movie marathon. *
