Yao Chi
Yao Chi by @lynne (Lynne)
I finally finished this : D It's Yao Chi from the NCD. He's so colorful @_@ I couldn't decide which version to put up.. they all suck! Rawrg! *falls over* So I went with the original one cuz I couldn't quite figure out how to improve it.. just change it. The colors, they ownzez me @_@

I colored this by hand.. but it is SEVERELY computer re-done/touched-up. The colored by hand one looks bloody terrible in comparison.. I was just doing it for a base so I could layer and layer and layer and get it to look okay.. o_o;;

Heh, once again I am commenting Lynne. You gave this to me a few days ago. You showed me the sketches and discussed what you were trying to do. I am flattered that you wanted to draw me and am grateful for your efforts.

More than that.

I really like this image. In this there is a definite sense of my draconic youthfulness (Yao Chi is a fledgling) and also a projection of the joys of flight.

Though it depicts gliding flight or soaring on thermals, it has a definite sense of bouyancy. I like that.

The details of Yao Chi's diamonds along his sping and wings are particularly well done. And the way you blended the colors in the scales and feathers has come out very nicely.

Thank You again ! Yao Chi

WHOOO! Another paint-splash dragon! With the diamond-back an' snakey-mustache-thingy an' antlers an' everything! ^.^ I definitely like the first version best. o.o When I get back to regular computer-usage, I MUST become a piece of mental napping kitty indigestion!
