Smaug Sleeps
Smaug Sleeps by @lynne (Lynne)

I've been working on this one for a while actually.. the scales.. THE SCALES!! Honestly, I so rarely draw scales.. but, this time I did, and it was not nearly as tedious as I remember scale-drawing being.

This is Smaug, from the Hobbit, of sorts. He was drawn and colored and inked by hand and then I scanned him and did that cool thing with PHOTOSHOP layers.. I didn't touch MS Image Composer or MS Paint for this, I'm so proud.. just PSP and Photoshop.. so the background is all computer done, and I had to put many layers on this to even start to get it to integrate.. it's not perfect, but I think it did okay..

This is a fabulous drawing! I doubt I would have been able to draw all that detail ever, now or in another lifetime. Smaug looks fabulous ^^
