Being long enough in the tooth to have worked with dot-matrix printers, I have a soft spot for speckled shading. :p

Landscapes are something I both love and hate to do: at a distance you can fudge the details, but close up I always struggle with plants.

I find this type of shading (with hatching and halftones) particularly beautiful. Of all types of drawings, nature drawings are the ones I have the most fun doing.
