Wow, this piece is gorgeous. The viwpoint is so creative! I love the painterly effect you managed to achieve in photoshop, it looks even better than smooth transistions between colours. The atmospheric perspective really adds effectivness to the painting. The only critism I've got for you is that the lighter coloured wing feathers look rather flat and need more detail. Although the tail looks like it came from a photo! Great work!

Thanx : )
hmmm i've fixed that feather problem, added a bit more shading. makes it look much better :D

Wai! This is such a pretty piece! I love the amount of detail you put into this and the painting style you used. I especially like the angle. Very different and it sorta makes you feel as if you're looking from the POV of one of the birds themselves. Wow, freehand eh? I couldn't do something this good WITH guidelines 'n stuff. Nice Job! claps

This is so beautiful! The POV that you chose works really well, I think you really captured the feel of flying. The details in the background are gorgeous, and I'm especially in awe of your clouds. I love the circular effect in this painting and the color choices are superb. This is really, really excellent ^_^

heheh that circular effect was unintentional, was halfway throught painting this when i realized i painted the clouds at a funny angle. anyways glad you like it! :)

This is gorgeous! The lighting and color tone is spectacular. The painterly effect works well with this image. I also like the use of the perspective and composition. Awesome job! ^_^

WOW. Buy yourself an automatic back-patter, because you deserve LOTS of kudos for this! Your subtle colors in the rocks, the purples in the bird's markings? And I love your clouds, too--not too overworked (like mine tend to be).

This is just exquisite; you help inspire me.
