Mizraimic Jackal
Mizraimic Jackal by @mitcdela (Mitchell de la Guardia)

Mizraim is the ancient biblical name for Egypt, and so this jackal is a citizen of evidently decent standing in Mizraim. I tried a new style of coloring on this one, and think it turned out very nicely.

Your sense of musculature/anatomy is really nice.

I'm not sure how well the shadow reads...the way the lighting is coming in the gradient background...the shadow just reads wrong, somehow. Maybe it should go back behind him? Or be directly "underneath" him?

Actually,t he background was a quick add-in to make it appear complete. I know the lighting didn't line up quite right...

Nice pic. I love Egyptian stuff, but I don't really know why. Maybe because it's interesting? Oh yeah, back to the pic. Well, it's really cool and keep up the good drawing. ~Rachel (www.side7.com/art/rachkeul.html)
