Texas - RT2024 by @ajfox (Adam Girtz)

A few weeks following the trip to NoDak, my lone star journey was set.  The longest road trip I'd taken since 2012 would see me through Iowa, Missouri & Oklahoma, in a return to Texas. 

Texas is, in my eyes, truly a unique state.  No where else have I seen/felt such a strong sense of state and national pride on display in as many places. I was introduced to southern-based Buc-ee's convenience stations,  Braum's Ice Cream shops, amazing Texas BBQ, some local history, and some of the best, friendliest people you could meet. I can't get enough of that texan drawl/twang.  It's so good!

The Animals: Coyote, Highland Cow, Mexican Gray wolf & Armadillo. 

Here's to you, Texas!

Drawn while visiting relatives near Greenville.  I can't wait for my next visit.
