Mannie's Ultimatum
Mannie's Ultimatum by @Thorvald (El Thorvaldo)

My 37th submission to DYOS VI.

And thus we witness the first direct co-operation between the Eastern Union and @GenMarshall's Republic of Coruscant. Evidently Pripyat has long since been forgotten... amazing what two months can do. In DYOS 10 we'd start collaborating behind the scenes as well; for now, though, everyone still kept themselves at a relative distance, evidenced by the fact that he used the picture here, red text and all, for his bombardment scene.

Something I didn't mention before is that whenever CivGeneral was directly involved, I mimicked his style of white text on black. Back then, while I was still struggling to find my footing both in DYOS and CFC generally, I positively revered the man.

CG's opening quip is one of Bismarck's diplomatic responses in Civ3. Richtofen's initial exclamation is based on a TV vignette which unfortunately I can find no direct reference to online. SIDE 7 EXCLUSIVE: _x years later someone posted a bootleg! Coincidentally, it was uttered by a character speaking in that accented German falsetto that screams 'villain'.

I don't know how I got so lucky searching for a picture of 'thingimajig'. That zoom effect was part of the original image.

CivGeneral, Perfectionist, Stylesjl & taillesskangaru © themselves.
