Kenshin in a tree
Kenshin in a tree by @Alayna (Alayna Lemmer)

It's everyone's favorite sakabatou-weilding swordsman, Kenshin!! And he's in a tree at sunset =D Thanks for the idea, Ross!! Okie it didn't turn out too great but it's okay. My scanner is really dumb, the tree isn't that black-ish, it's a brown terra cotta color. ~.~ Oh well. PLEASE LEAVE FEEDBACK!!! I need to know how to draw better! Please please please!

The main thing I see that you could improve is the coloring. Not the color choices, I like those, but the rough pencil marks.

Keep your pencils really sharp and take your time to lay the color on evenly. Be careful about how much pressure you are using, it might help to move the pencil in circles instead of lines You can go over it several times if it is too light.

Add more detail on the hand, and find a different placement for the hand. It looks like he is pushing away from the tree rather then grabing on to it. I like the details on his shirt ^_^
