New OC - Kusagakure Genin
New OC - Kusagakure Genin by @lua0 (Lua)

I finally got around to making a concept sketch of my guy. He does cool things like making plants grow and is very strong physically since he was doing farming work since a young age. His clan is interesting in that it has provided Kusagakure with lots of economic impact via the use of the Garden Scrolls. The Garden Scrolls are earth release scrolls which summon an entire garden where vegtables, fruit, herbs, and even fungi can be grown from. It saves space, and ensures anything grown with them has all the proper soil, water, and such. These are just one of the many guarded, secret abilities within the clan.

My character in particular fights by using water and earth jutsu, as well as growing carnivorous sunflower/venus flytrap hybrids.  The flowers themselves have poisonious pollen, flower petals that can fly off and are as sharp as kunai, shoot hardened seeds like bullets, grapple onto things with vines, and definitely have power jaws. They can get really big too, but that requires a lot of chakra.

People even in higher ranks within his clan can do really powerful things, such as their ultimate forbidden technique, which is manipulating the lifeforce of another and turning them into flowers.

Kusagakure has been in secret development with their own 'brand' name clans for ages, and his is one of them. Though very diplomatic, their military potential has been kept underwraps...until now. Soon, he will be undertaking the chuunin exams, and for the first time, Kusagakure will be well known.

He's a typically very kind and sweet person, someone who is a bit of an opposite from Wani. He does though, absolutely hate Orochimaru for what he's done to numerous people across the globe. As a genin, he's incredibly naive but somehow a pretty good combatant. His kindness though is not easily manipulated. He's capable of making hard descisions, even if it will still effect him later. He doesn't believe that most people are evil, they are just put under bad circumstances, though he would maybe make an exception for Orochimaru.

I love doing things with underdeveloped parts of lore, and Kusagakure is no exception. For a village that is rated pretty well politically, and seem to have a decent enough intelligence for a 'lesser' village too. This always bothered me in how those two things can make a great country, but we don't learn much else about them. So yes, this OC does take great liberties with the source material. I don't see Kusagakure though trying to be of great military might or anything like that, just merely trying to catch up so Iwagakure doesn't try to invade them again.

I love this character and the Garden scroll is a really good idea, I'm sure the villagers love that :o plant manipulation is really cool and unique idea for a jutsu... I just wouldn't want to be the one fighting it 👀 Anyway cool boyo, looking forward to more :D

@SabakuKyuut777: Haha, I agree and thanks :] Wanna find a place to use him, but also need a name and to do the reference sheet eventually as well. Might even make some teammates, like a mandrake/scarecrow ninja and maybe a ninja who can change the size of objects.
