HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AF! :D;;;
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AF! :D;;; by @kat23a (kat23b (secret identity))

WHEEEEEEITHINKICANNOLONGERMOVEMYRIGHTHAND! ^.^ For those who don't already know, this is AF, she of the amazing characters and my good twin! :D Quiz time! Can anybody here guess her element? Anybody? Anybody?

o.o Comments on the pic: I learned very quickly that I cannot draw fire. I learned even more quickly that fire is friggin' impossible to color. I learned rather slowly, after many many many many tries, that the background is evil incarnate and should be subjected to imminent doom followed by poking with a sharp stick.

And yes, she's holding a Zim plushie. u.u

Wow o.o That fire and the pic and everything go perfectly together, even down to the Zim plushie!

Awesome job ^_^ I could only hope to be able to get my images looking even close to that someday.

Eeeeeeeeee! What mean you, Kat, that you cannot draw fire? -.O I think thou art mistaken, mi amigo. is so impressed she is switching between modes of speech An all-flame outfit! SO cool. I love it, and would wear it if I didn't think it would end in singed underwear. =B I especially like her feets' pose. Very much neatness, and may I say that you have drawn the best feets that I have seen in a long time? Altogether awesome, I would say. u.u steals Zim plushie and runs before the alarms go off

I love the flames! I can almost feel the heat... no, wait, that's the candles on my computer desk. Where did I put that fire extinguisher?...

Anyway, about the pic... the flames are great, and I love the way you used the red to define the flames' space. I also love the sense of movement created by the shape of the negative space around AF. It really draws the eye down (to notice those great sandals!), but the shape at the bottom forces the eye back up, so one really sees the whole pic. Also really like the halo behind her head, it sort of softens her, lessens the contrast between the fire and the black.

I'm just glad I'm not in the pic with her... the stench of burning hair must be overpowering!! :)
