@Camazotz: Yeah, the issue is young kids but more specifically young kids without a leash I recon. I think the awful moderation is what kicked the casts tbh. I’ve discussed with others and they were all absolutely horrified by how insane my stories were so it’s not all younger users, just that concentrated, poorly moderated lot. I would like more kids to be here but not be too insane. Lol

Sometimes I think about the communities I was a part of previously and I miss them, especially FrameCast but the more I age I realise that god forsaken app definitely raised me differently from most of my peers… I miss the collective insanity. I hope that Side7 doesn’t get that derangement nor awful management, I really like how Karma’s been handling things, but I hope it does get that sense of involved community more than it has already.
Also I think it needs a contest function implemented, I think it would really help in the future. And like, FrameCast photos, though this is an art site more than anything else so I don’t think it would be the same. Apologies for this weird spiel I’m just thinking out loud here take a fuckin chicken

well i've noticed a pattern with certain online communities and it made me understand why drawcast was so deranged,,, it was the fact that most of the users were kids, we were all kids when drawcast was at its prime, look at tiktok or spacehey for example, the communities there are pretty active, tho they are wayyy too full of drama and toxicity because it's full of kids and teenagers bullying eachother. well drawcast had a friendlier community but ik drama would unfold from time to time (even i would start some out of boredom) it wasn't thaat bad as the other sites i mentioned. side7 is pretty quiet right now, but note how most of the active users here are adults, imagine if somehow the site became popular on tiktok, and those kids came flooding here. or if side7 just became popular for the online kids in general, that's a way ik the site could become active and popular.
