Daisy Hunt
A gift pic for Ladyamberjo's birthday, and definitely one of the bloodiest things I've done in a while! I'm pretty pleased with it overall. I think everyone came out good, for once. And that's a relief, since I rarely draw Mai or Serenity. ^^ And Joey I haven't tried in a long while.
I figure he was being driven out of his mind by Portman, and that Mai and Serenity found him afterwards. o.o

XD One of these days, I need to do some color DC pics, and include some bloody ones.
^^ I used to draw Jou with semi-frequency, but I purged most of the really old pictures from the gallery. The one of Shizuka was a Seto/Serenity one, but I only drew it because these odd commenters kept bothering me about the pairing. XD;
Mai's nails are painted, but I probably didn't pick the best color for them. XD

You know, I sort of missed your bloody pictures...seeing a new one (and a Jou-related one, at that!) was something of a gift in and of itself. ^_^
I think everyone came out very well for not having drawn them in ages (or ever)...I think I saw one Jou-ish picture posted in your gallery years back, but that was it. Wait, no, there was one of Shizuka and one of Mai, too...I think that's how I found your gallery in the first place...running a search for "Mai"...
...Okay, enough nostalgia for now. I like the splotchy-drippiness of the blood in this one, and the way it's spread around the picture, on the floor and on the girls besides on Jounouchi. It makes it seem more...er, concerned, maybe? Like they rushed right over and grabbed him and fretted over him with utter disregard to their clothing. XD Of course, that wouldn't be nearly so heartrending a picture..."My arm-socks! You bled all over my arm-socks! Ohh, you stupid drippy boy!" Are Mai's nails painted, or is that more blood? o.o; Oh, little detail that I liked a lot: the way Jou's head is tilted to rest against Mai's chest. If he was that badly injured/unconscious, he would be a good bit floppier than usual...and it's cute! I also like the little floaty-tears between Shizuka and Mai.
As always, I love the expressions (very emotional!) and everybody's hair looks very soft (well, not Mai's, but that's probably pretty accurate...she strikes me as a styling products-enthusiast...same as Otogi. XD)
Again, thanks so much for drawing something for me...I already mentioned it in an email, but it did brighten up my day. ^_^ snuggles
