@Agondray: Not just mockery, it's mostly complete disinterest. The art industry is pretty cutthroat, even back in the early 2000s when Sly 2 took place, or Sly 1 for that matter since this is Dimitri's time before he became a criminal. He would've struggled to pay his bills and find work, he would've been frustrated about getting a soul killing 9 to 5 job to support himself. I love this silly lizard a lot because although it doesn't focus on his history as an artist, it's so painfully real and relatable.
