LittlePrayer-Final Fantasy-Overworld Theme 2019 Cover by @XxTheCreativeKitsunexX (XxTheCreativeKitsunexX)

Final Fantasy-

Just the name alone for some gamers is enough to bring fond memories flooding forth with a huge dose of nostalgia. For a game that was meant to be the one and only game in the series but went on to spawn many many more, there is nothing Final about this Fantasy. Indeed I was introduced to the first game and fell in love with the music of the overworld theme, not since Dragon Warrior DragonQuest did a piece of music hit me nostalgia wise. I was introduced to a world of sound that was more then just blips and bleeps. Since then I followed the Final Fantasy series and am SUPER Excited about Final Fantasy 16 coming to PS5. Back in 2019 I decided I had done enough of my own versions of Final Fantasy music and decided to try my hand with the Overworld Theme from Final Fantasy 1, I also wanted to pay homage to DragonQuest as well so I incorporated instrumentation and style from DragonQuest to create this piece of music. I HAD created a DragonQuest cover of the overworld theme but cause of major restrictions and I didn't want my hand getting slapped I have never posted it. Since I could not put my DragonQuest track up I opted to created this instead using that similar style. Perhaps I will create my OWN version of DragonQuest music as I have for Final Fantasy that way I can at least offer something.

With that being said though I am VERY proud of this piece of music and for anyone who played the NES original or the remastered versions of the game will no doubt know this familiar and often overlooked tune from the Legendary Composer Nobuo Uematsu. Please enjoy my little offering of nostalgia and don't forget to fave and comment if you can.

There will be more Final Fantasy music coming to Side 7 in time.

Music remix is ©XxTheCreativeKitsunexX Sword Dancer Studio Canada LTD. Original composition ©Square Enix originally composed by Nobuo Uematsu. Final Fantasy name and Image also © and TM Square Enix All Rights Reserved.

I feel kinda guilty to say the closest I came to actually playing Final Fantasy was watching a friend re-run FF7. I basically only know that and FF13 on, the latter less for the games themselves than the, er spirited debates about their design foibles. :x

Gear up and we're on our way!  I haven't played Final Fantasy in a long time, but the spirit of that game/series was certainly present here.  Dragon Quest I'd heard of but admittedly haven't played it.  I've got some catching up to do.  Well done!

@ajfox: I recently got the Pixel Remastered collection of Final Fantasy 1 through 6 and first game I am playing is FF1, even after all these years the game still has not lost its charm or appeal for me.  The open world music still is one of the most memorable tracks but same time the orchestral version presented in the game felt a bit lacking I felt.  Still the rest of the music was something I dreamed about when I was kid playing the game on NES for the first time.  DragonQuest is such a phenom that in Japan, gamer took time off WORK on release day to play the game upon purchasing them, the fan base is very loyal and rabid and consumes anything Dragonquest related and even has plays and concerts for some of the music and game scenes found in different games throughout the years.  DragonQuest has surpassed Final Fantasy as the number one RPG in Japan while in the US it is the complete opposite with Final Fantasy being favored over DragonQuest here in the west.
