JC of the Rings--Page 4
JC of the Rings--Page 4 by @kidkourage (KidK Mirai)

This do be the final page of this comic that I have drawn so far...and it is also my favorite. Mostly because it is the most colorful of all. Here we have the balrog battle, which does not go at all as it should, much to JC's dismay. See, she's expecting certain things to happen, because she knows the movie inside and out, but not everything is happening according to the script. Lovely case in point is the fact that Ancalagon the Black, the Dragon who has been following the Fellowship, has shown up to 'save' the group by, as Merry puts it, 'eating the balrog.' Thus Gandalf is able to escape with the others to live for another day. ^.^ Aren't we all happy for that? In the end, Ancalagon explains to JC what has happened to the LotR reality...

My favorite panel in the whole comic thus far is the one with JC, Merry, and Pippen. I don't know why. I just like it. I also like the whole 'reflection in the glasses' thing I got goin' on. u.u Oh, the magic of colored pencils applied in thick layers of color and then smeared using white pencil...I have no talent whatsoever--just luck. =B

Yes, the smearage of white colored pencil.. a technique I employed far too often long long ago.. but I'm so out of practice now... eh well I still use it, if/when I ever use colored pencils.. but you use it very judiciously and I applaud the COOLNESS of special effects in this page. u.u applauds And Ancalagon too of course :] I still love that panel of him breathing fire. You inspire-ed me to do the firey fire on the pic I drew of him.
