Scully's Release
Scully's Release by @elizdlou (Elizabeth Dlouhy)

Rising with the sun, she wept tears of sadness, joy, and anger. A past she tried each day to forget, but a past she tried each day to forgive...

This took me a long while to complete not because it was hard or challenging, but because it was emotionally trying. There has come a time in my life that I must face my fears and wear them on my sleeves. For if I do not, I shall never find the release I am waiting for, when everything in life satisfies the perfectionist in me.

I agree with Weasel_Silver. The lighting gives it a great mood and the shading really gives some great dimension to it - I particularly like the depth in the hair and the highlight on the back leg and tail. The pose is also nicely portrayed, though the head/neck look a little big for the body, and the front near paw looks just a little too tapered at the wrist. Still, it's lovely work. I really like the subtle shadow of the grass over the paws, it's a really nice effect.
