In some ways I botched the joke 'cuz CG alternately refers to himself as both.
Part of the context for this scene is that CivGeneral has just been shot; I think I expected him to be out of commission for a while, hence Alyx taking charge. This turned out not to be the case.
It's kinda sad to think that a page as rough and short as this actually took me two hours.

I recall that there's a blurring of lines between bounty hunter and mercenary as a catch all for "hired gun" within Star Wars. Noteably Boba Fett and Cad Bane.
