@Thorvald: It does indeed. Thanks for the feedback.
ALRB Logo - U.N. Main 6 (Redo) by @fragmented_imagination (B Sanders)
A redo of this piece. I originally wanted to keep the same four-letter acronym for each logo, but it just made the logos look clumsy. Arabic was a little more difficult than I had anticipated; as it turns out, a language that uses acronyms as its casual writing system doesn't really feel the need to reduce words any further. I did a little looking around and found that some Arabic speakers will adopt an already-used acronym from another language (OPEC, for example), so I rendered "ALRB" into the word "Eyel'arbiy" or "Ayal'arbiy" depending on the speaker's dialect. For Chinese, that last word features a common suffix used for a government office, so it became the final character in the acronym. Chinese tends to reduce words like this depending on the meaning of the characters in the word, so I believe that this would be a reasonable reduction according to Chinese trends. The other languages remain mostly the same, but French and Spanish have their articles and prepositions placed on the opposite side of the logo so they would fit.
