Your funeral self?

@The-Wizard-of-Zaar: Yes, this is mostly inspired by an artist I enjoy on Pixiv, they make funeral girl with these cute funeral themed outfits on them, they also all have red patches on their faces.

@N0-11:

I see, reminds me of the living dead doll thing from years back.

So is this going to be a one off or looking to make create a range of characters with this theme?

@The-Wizard-of-Zaar: Funnily enough, I drew these types of characters before, just with my own flair of stuff, because why not.

@N0-11:

I meant to say as well.

I mean no offence when I say this... But you've stuck with these very basic, anime'esque faces in your drawings for a while; despite clearly it being well within your ability to draw more complicated and stylised faces.

I'm definitely enjoying your new take on noses, like in this drawing and the previous.

I'm wondering why you've held off for so long?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's noticed that this is seemingly deliberate.

@The-Wizard-of-Zaar: It's mainly because I want to draw anime faces because why not and because it's fun to do, and I'll try to change it up a bit with some cartoony faces as well, since I draw cartoon characters too, so hopefully I'll draw more varity when it comes to face. (And because I want to draw kind of like Hetza Hellshock but not too much.) (It's also because I'm finishing some wips as well, I'll hopefully change up stuff with my art, I really appreciate the critique as well, thank you very much.)

@N0-11:

Yeh I getchyas.

If you love the anime style and the media born from it; you become part of that manga/anime culture too. I've met many artists who feel much the same way; love of the aesthetic and style of story telling.

Many of them also being like yourself, doing other art styles and having influences from things like religion and history very tied into the Abrahamic religions... Like you yourself have a knowledgeable and significant relationship with, one that influences your art and story telling.

But that Japanese angle on art and fiction seems to have a deep, dear place in a lot of people's hearts globally.

I'd be lying if I don't have a special place in my heart for Full Metal Alchemist and Naruto, and DBZ... Forget about it.

Any plans in the future to draw more in the way of weapons and armour?

I definitely know you're working on some cool stuff with clothing and that would translate well into armour, but I think you may enjoy drawing weapons too.

@The-Wizard-of-Zaar: I'll keep you critique of faces in mind too.

@The-Wizard-of-Zaar: I have drawn guns before as well, I'll also try to draw more weapons too. (I also gave my upcoming Geography Girl of Japan a big sword as well)

@N0-11:

Please don't misunderstand, I intended it less as a critique and more an observation in how clearly you're taking a lot of time and careful thought about faces.

I've always been impressed that even though your faces in the past have been very devoid of detail, they're very emotive and convey expressions well.

So maybe that says something about how you want to draw faces or develop a style?

@The-Wizard-of-Zaar: Pretty much developing a style tbh.
