Factory of Madness: Grief
Factory of Madness: Grief by @rollee (Rollee Bitterblossom)

The ruins of Piedmont Factory are haunted by the ghosts of the children who were once made to toil endlessly in its walls, all the way to their demise in the Night of the Fire. Trapped in the building they hated in life, each ghost is an echo of their own unique tragedy. Some struggle to maintain some semblance of their humanity, others are now completely lost in the madness of death. This is their story

A fire in her apartment took everything from Mary, her home, her family, the use of her legs; and with them, her independence. Heartlessly shipped to Piedmont, Mary found herself needing assistance with everything. Getting out of bed, dressing herself, washing herself, moving throughout the antiquated building, and even using the bathroom. In truth Mary did receive the help she needed. Charitable souls like Sarah and Lauren were more than willing to help. But instead of gratitude, Mary's grief was quickly overwhelmed by a far more pervasive emotion, rage.

A handful of Piedmont's ghosts found solace from their lifelong ailments in their deaths, such as Kelsey and her illness. Mary did not. As if out of sheer spite, Mary's spirit became fettered to to her dilapidated wheelchair as strongly as she hated it. Eternally locked to her hated chair, jealousy and spite consumes Mary. Now she has dedicated her posthumous existence crippling her victims and watching them crawl around the factory floors, finding brief comfort in watching people suffer as she does.

Brutal without gore or overt violence.

Well played.
