Coruscant National Party Logo
Coruscant National Party Logo by @Thorvald (El Thorvaldo)

The National Party of Coruscant was the first time @GenMarshall took a serious stab at fleshing out his country's internal politics. Even in DYOS 10.5, where a reactionary clique threatened to tear the empire asunder from within, party politics were left vague (and in practical terms bulldozed over by a de facto military government). The Nationalists emerge in At Plot's End as a "third way" between an enfeebled liberal status quo and the authoritarian cabal championing POPA–SIPPA. Despite lifting strong influence from the Blackshirts and outright aping Donald Trump's 2016 campaign, the Nationalists weren't diehard fascists at the outset, although even before the SithGeneral arc began they were fast slipping into bona fide right-wing populism—an all-too-accurate reflection of CG's own descent into the Alt-Lite.

SVG remake of a design by CivGeneral, uploaded to the DYOS Wiki in 2016. Based on the logo of the Partita Nazionale Fascista.
