Not as bad as last year but still clocking in past the New Year mark, this was a gamble that I could manage something worthwhile with minimal drawing. It was actually pared down from the initial storyboard and I failed to get TB right in either panel, but naturally I nailed Spamton on the first try.
In between all the one-shot rush jobs, I've actually had several ideas for lengthier parodies for if-'n-when I can ever schedule the due time to develop them. This is, of course, a spoof of the O. Henry short story "The Gift of the Magi". In a stroke of inspiration I ran the original numbers through an inflation calculator and was rather surprised to discover that a century later, the average working wage really hasn't changed.
