Firey Pits of HELL!! -
Firey Pits of HELL!! - "Let's all watch the apocalypse! YAY!" by @laursefc (Lauren Sefchik)

Okay okay...part two of the cool/warm color schemes I had to learn in Color Theory. I couldn't help but giggle profusely as I painted this version of 'Shelter'. The title came from commentary that my best friend, Lisa, and I made while we were watching Unico again in 8 years.

Really...what can I say about this piece other than the fact that Micah is calmly watching lava RAIN down upon the towns and villages. My teacher told me it was probably the most sadistic piece of work that was completely unintentional.

Anyway, same materials apply, only now it was done in warmer colors: reds, Oranges, Yellows. Sketch transferred onto Bristol Board and painted in that bloody guache paint.

Enjoy the apocalypse! ^_^ Artwork © Copyright 2002 Lauren Sefchik

Well the Tokyo in Textures piece as well as this COlor Theory set had to be scanned in via two different pieces. I've got another CT thing that's a kaliedascope. So instead of trying to piece the whole thing, I just scanned in the one part and reconstructed it in Photoshop to put it back to it's original state. I've got other crappy pieces that I'm going to have to scan in every section and resegment it, which I don't want to do because the work is embarassing. But due to the fact that this is sort of my online portfolio, I have a slight obligation to post every (finished) piece I can dig up. Aiya... ~_~*
