elf and tree...... huzzah!
elf and tree...... huzzah! by @LissaBT (Lissa B. Treiman)

so i was sitting out in front of school the other day, when this rose bush reached out a tendril and tapped me on the shoulder... and lo! inspiration.. ... just an elf and a plant... good times...

(pencil sketch)

sticking my head out of my dark, dank little rut i see i haven't posted here in a while, due mostly in part to my only recently completed Halloween comic efforts.... see them at my other online gallery by clickinghere! Artwork © Copyright 2002 Lissa B. Treiman

Wow o.o Your proportions and foreshortening are wonderful! And your rendering of the hand and feet are amazing as well. Any chance we'll see this finished? Not that it doesn't kick arse as it is ^^

goes to check out the rest of your stuff

D'joo, I LOVE pencil sketches...and man, Lissa - you ROCK at anatomy. One more thing. I love Elf-dude's expression. Eez SHARP!

Nitpick time - on the arm that is closest to us, ..I dunno - someting about the way it's placed is irking my head. Maybe if it was defined more, kinda breaking up the form of the back? (shrug)

And one more nitpick. Stop drawing feet so good - I sit, look at pictures like this: http://www.side7.com/cgi-bin/S7SDB/DisplayImg.pl?INO=174922

THEN I see the feet, and say, "That's cool, let's try it!" ...Literally. I try leaning on my foot the same way while I'm doing chores, like cleaning my room. And I'm gonna end up in the hospital 'cause I luff...yer...feet.

Booshmagga!!
