Mortal Kombat-OutWorld Arena Dan Forden Style MK Track by @XxTheCreativeKitsunexX (XxTheCreativeKitsunexX)

FINALLY! It has taken a LOT of work and revisions but Mortal Kombat music is HERE! I started 3 MK tracks going as far back as 3 years but could not find the right tone or theme to represent my foray into the MK music universe. I went back and played the original Arcade games to get the proper feel and understanding of what made MK music so Iconic over the years and when I got to MK 2 and 3 it dawned on me what was missing.

Dan Forden has been with the Mortal Kombat franchise for years and is responsible for composing a good portion of the most memorable tracks that has made MK what it has become. His recent work in Mortal Kombat 1 is very apparent and the series music has evolved over time. Still his best work remains behind the first 3 MK games with MK 2 being the pinnacle of his work according to die hard fans.

I went back to the drawing board er...composition board and whipped up a theme for Outworld which became the theme for the track itself. Dark Foreboding and eerie as well as deadly, the track HAD to represent the dangerous and unpredictable nature of the realm itself as was apparent in all the games from arena to arena.

I finally hit paydirt when I discovered the drum technique that Dan used in his early MK tracks that has become absolutely synonymous with the MK franchise to this very day. War drums and toms mixed with deep heavy hits and echoing booms that would begin the start of any great kombat track.

So finally 3 years later I dove headfirst into the MK world and completed my FIRST MK track.

Music is ©2023 J.Delorey Productions Sword Dancer Studio Canada LTD Mortal Kombat is © and ™ Warner Brothers Interactive and NeatherRealm Studio This track is not licensed sponsored or endorsed by Warn Bros or NeatherRealm Studio This track is an all original track and is not cannon to the game series and is merely a re envisioning of the music done by Dan Forden the original music composer for the MK series and was done in his style used in MK 1 2 and 3. "For you, the day the Creative Kitsune graced your ears was the most important day of your life... But for me, it was Tuesday."
(Wrong franchise but I couldn't pass up the coincidence.) ||||||:^{3>

Cor but I love me some proper drums. Beyond the main theme I'm not actually familiar with the MK soundtrack, so my immediate thought was this calls to mind a bridge between the MIDI era of Dune II and the more sophisticated orchestration in D2K.

@Thorvald: *I seriously laughed my ass off as I read your comment for the first part as I know FULL WELL where that line came from. Yes I felt the drums should be the main focus as Mortal Kombat's music has always been drum based and makes it feel like Mortal Kombat! MK has some of the most uneasy and atmospheric music of any game and especially an arcade game, nothing like it existed or exists even to this very day. *
