wheeeee! It's done! ^^ Yet another CG! I'm getting so used to that artform ;-) I think this is one of the better character CG-ing I've done, and although I have done one better CG-ed background than this one, I'm still happy with the effect because the background was mostly randome experimenting until I found certain effects I've never tried before, like with the text on Tapion's name ^^

I am happy with this picture because for the first time in a long time, I've finally worked up enough guts to try to do a free-standing original pose. I pretty much suck at drawing original poses, suck even more at drawing original full-figure posees, suck even worse at drawing original, full-figure poses in action ----* So drawing this took a LOT of persistence, seeing as I also suck at drawing folds XD. Basically, this artwork challeneged all that I was originally not good at doing, in order to improve it ^_^

I have been hoping to do some more cel-style work, but I abandoned a cel-style Inu Yasha picture in progress to do this one, and I'm guessing I don't take very warmly to cel-style just yet ^~ I like the realism to gradated style better at the moment, and I REALLY got obsessed with Tapion out of the blue. YES, I know he's probably not Elvish but I just felt like putting that in the title ;-) The colouring took the longest to do, as well as I had a hard time thinking up a background concept. All in all, it fell together alright ^^

The reason I did this picture was to stray from my girly shoujo style, LOL. I've been doing a lot of bishoujo pictures lately, or fluffy pics, which I do LOVE doing, but in order to entertain everyone I made this image to satisfy more of the male audience ^__^ and it's dedicated to Jason b/c if there's anyone who'd tell me to lay off the girly pics and draw some stuff for guys, it'd be him. LOL.
