Fractured in both mind and soul, the children of Piedmont live in a constant state of hunger. A gnawing feeling that something intimate is missing from their existence. To fill this void they find themselves drawn to those around them that still retain strong, focused personalities. While it can be argued how much control can be actually had in such a place of chaos, it is widely accepted there are three members of Piedmont who hold the majority of influence. These are the quiet yet resolute Sarah, the charismatic but vengeful Billy, and the madly ambitious Eugene.

A creepy setting with a dark past is interesting but the ghost stories of Piedmont Factory wouldn’t be popular if there weren’t any violence. Rest assured, Piedmont can get plenty violent. The Broken may wander about seeking something to distract them, and Eugene’s goons will awaken to do his bidding, but the grand majority of murderous spirits in the factory align themselves with the boy named Billy Sawyer.

Billy was a bit a legend within Piedmont, even back when he was alive. He fought back against the adult overseers and stood up for the other kids. Now in death, “The Boy with a Wrench” has become an actual legend. Those who hate the living, are consumed by rage, or simply want to protect this ruin they call home rally behind him.

Billy himself, a boy of honor, has standards. His hate is specifically directed against adults. If the stories are to be believed, he has even actively intervened to protect younger living intruders from his own more deranged friends. Possessed by a strong antiquated sense of chivalry, Billy also rarely attacks women. Of course these sentiments are not always shared by the others, try as he might to enforce it.

Relationship:

Billy and Sarah have had a mutual friendship in life. In death, their ideology clashes but Billy has no obvious qualms with her.

Chris and Billy are close friends. In mutual respect, Billy rarely makes Chris do something he doesn’t want to do, something Sarah often doesn’t consider.

Billy despises Eugene and his goons.

Ever the popular boy; Mary and Rheena both like Billy and the two are bitter rivals. This past-life rivalry has now evolved into a contest of blood.

Despite being legitimate monsters in their own regards, Billy and his friends are disturbed, if not terrified by the Broken and generally avoid them. The Broken act as a haunting reminder of their own instability making them consider that perhaps Sarah is right; that their current path of blood will only make them worse. It’s not something they like thinking about.
Cults of Personality: Billy's Wrath by @rollee (Rollee Bitterblossom)

The ruins of Piedmont Factory are haunted by the ghosts of the children who were once made to toil endlessly in its walls, all the way to their demise in the Night of the Fire. Trapped in the building they hated in life, each ghost is an echo of their own unique tragedy. Some struggle to maintain some semblance of their humanity, others are now completely lost in the madness of death. Welcome to the Factory of Madness.

Ever the gamble for the living wandering into the factory. Now we have someone who is picky about targets and tries to focus others toward similar behavior. Not that he seems to be effective in the latter endeavor, but that would make approaching Piedmont more tempting than it should be.
